Yeonwoo Chang is an artist based in Vienna and Seoul. Her artistic practice deals with philosophy and spiritual matters that correspond with museology, crafts, and geopolitics. Her projects often attempt to scratch the surface of the invisible infrastructure of our society and reposition the historical elements with spiritual narratives to reflect the future discourse. Her recent works focus on the political context of culture through investigated mediums. The mediums such as ceramics, become a compound of the subjects of extractivism on natural resources, post-colonialism, and crafts, which leads to the discourse of labor, inequality, hegemony, and vision of the moral future.
