Fountain of Pleasure

2018

installation
mixed media

each 30*30*25(cm)
A renovated exhibition space, which used to be an old house in an old local district, kept its original form of the relatively classical type of Korean house from the modern.

To consider the space as an output of the power structure of one society, the work is inspired by the house which keeps the old-fashion way of the domestic culture of the past.

Inside each of the small plastic bowls are chosen items, which were found in Eul-ji street, Seoul, with the subject of daily sexism in the society of South Korea based on the experience during the period of the residency program.
